We both were working together at Caterpillar when we met. Funny enough, we were in opposite departments and would often butt heads when it came to different opinions on projects. Like they say, sometimes opposites attract!
It definitely was a natural progression for us. We knew we wanted to be together for a long time, but I’d say our defining moment was when we went on a trip to Ireland together and explored the ever-gorgeous landscapes of Giant’s Causeway and the Cliffs of Moher. It was such a magical time for both of us to be enjoying these breathtaking places together.
Our wedding say was so beautiful and full of love! We had a small intimate ceremony and celebration with our immediate family and close friends. During our reception, our guests took pictures on a Polaroid camera and left us sweet notes and best wishes in a guest book alongside their silly and thoughtful polaroid pictures for us to enjoy for many years to come. It was so special to be surrounded by our favorite people!
We met in class while attending Appalachian State University. I came into class on the first day of the semester and sat down in the front row. A few minutes later Brett came up to me and asked if he could sit next to me. Of course I said yes! Little did I know, he was already sitting in the back of the room and got up to sit next me when I walked in!
After about 6 months of dating we went to Florida for spring break to visit my family. The day that we got back to Boone from the trip was the day we said 'I'm in love with you' for the first time. Falling in love with each other was just so fun and effortless!
Our wedding venue was perfect for us. We love the mountains and nature so the view of Pilot Mountain was great! We are also wine club members at JOLO Winery so it was perfect to have our wedding at a place that we love so much. Our favorite part about the wedding, besides getting married, was that our friends and family had such a great time. We still get compliments on the venue, food, music and photography!
We met while in school for Physical Therapy and were actually friends for two years before we started dating. We were both a little shy, but the interest was there! We finally started dating with a little help from a few dear friends and classmates who knew we needed a little nudge.
It is hard to say when we fell in love, really. We spent a lot of time together after classes, on the weekends, and over our breaks. One night when we were hanging out, Chas said he had something he had been wanting to say to me for a while. I knew what it was and truthfully, I had been feeling the same way! From then on, the rest was history!
We had a few sentimental things at our wedding. As my gift to Chas, it was an family-heirloom gun of my poppas who passed away a few years ago. He meant the world to me. Chas reminds me a lot of my poppa and I wanted him to have it. Chas also wore poppas old cuff links as well so he would look extra handsome in his suit! I was gifted a beautiful gold ring with diamonds that belonged to my grandmother who passed away. My grandfather gave it to me a few days before the wedding in a red box. It meant so much to me to have a piece of her with me on our special day.
We met while at work together. I was the new girl in the area and my coworker was taking me around to meet and visit with the fire department crews when we first met. We were good friends for almost 9 years after that!
Randomly we started chatting a bit more one day and decided to go out to an oyster bar together. We had gone out to eat and spent time together several times before so neither one of us really thought much of it. Well, at least I didn’t, but later to find out he had hopes that it would turn into something more!! I can’t even explain it, but when he walked up on my porch that night I saw him in a whole different light. And that was it!! It just clicked and the rest is history!
Everything about our wedding was special! The venue meant the most since we were blessed enough to have it on our family horse farm. Our first look was incredibly special because I was able to have my first horses be a part of it by hanging out with us in the barn. Having those pictures with my older horses is something I’ll always be able to look back on and smile. I’ve got to say that digging up our special bottle of bourbon that we had buried at the ceremony site one month before was a fun tradition and quite comical since we had a hard time getting it dug up and opened. But when we did even our officiant enjoyed a “little” sip with us. And then the party. Whooo was it a party!
Love what you see?? Oh, there's more!!
Engagement Sessions. Bridal Sessions. The Wedding Day.
Brittany is so awesome! We knew she would be a great fit the first day we met her. She made us feel comfortable and really listened to what we wanted and didn't want for the wedding. Because our wedding was outside, we wanted someone who would be able to not only take pictures of us but also capture the surrounding environment. Brittany did just that! She is also great at giving direction which made it much easier for family and bridal party to get great pictures without taking too much time. We were truly able to relax knowing that we chose the best photographer for our big day!
We met with several photographers before we found Brittany. She was the only photographer to give us a tentative timeline for our wedding day. Having that information was so beneficial for the entire planning process. Brittany was very helpful answering all our questions and givings us recommendations based on her experiences in the industry. She was very easy to talk to and always prompt to respond. She is professional, thoughtful and always came prepared. We are so blessed for the memories she has given us!
I was so impressed the first time I met Brittany! I tell people what sold me is the fact that I was having an outdoor wedding, and she had gone as far to check the sunset time and know exactly what the lighting would be like. She was so organized throughout the entire process. On the day of our wedding, Brittany was so relaxed, which helped keep me calm, and she was extremely receptive to any picture ideas we wanted to try. Her work is phenomenal!
We could not be happier to have had Brittany photograph our wedding. We planned our wedding from overseas and Brittany was very accommodating with working across time differences. She was extremely organised from the outset – her wedding day timeline included details we had not even thought of and helped immensely with our planning. Obviously, on the day, not everything went according to plan or time, but Brittany was able to go with the flow and get all the important shots and more. She gave us plenty of direction (which we really needed) to set up some great pictures, but also got plenty of candid moments. Finally and most importantly, the pictures … the light, the colors, movement, moods and moments were so perfectly captured! Highly recommend!
