A mutual friend of ours suggested we meet each other. At the time, I lived in Nashville, TN and Wade was in Mt Airy. So we had a long distance relationship from the start. I already had plans to move back to NC, so when I did the rest was history. Within less than a year, we were engaged!
We have always said we were in love before we even met each other in person! Sometime during the 3+ hour phone calls each night for 4+ weeks straight we decided and knew, this is real love.
Getting married at such a unique and beautiful venue while having all of our friends & family from all over the country there with us, and being able to have my cousin, Taylor design and do all of the florist work was all so special to us! We rented an ice cream truck which was a HUGE hit with our guests. But I'd have to say our first look coming down the aisle made us both extremely emotional!
We went to college together and met at a friend’s party. The minute we started talking it was an instant connection. He invited me to a fraternity date function and we’ve been together ever since!
Brandon proposed at a beautiful resort in Blowing Rock. He took me by the hand down to the water. All of a sudden he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said YES! He had also planned for both of our families to be there to enjoy this exciting moment!
We've always loved being outdoors! We enjoy hiking and camping together. We also love taking our sweet dog for walks and hanging out at breweries on the weekend. Not much has changed!
We actually met on a dating app! We messaged back and forth for about 6 weeks before he asked me on a first date. We met for lunch one weekend and ended up sitting and talking for 3 hours! We've been together ever since and that was over 5 years ago!
It was different for us. For me, it was when Coy's old 1985 Ford truck broke down on the side of the road on the hottest day of Summer. I remember I didn’t care how hot it was or how long we were stuck there, as long as I could be with Coy! As for Coy it was after we had been dating for about 9 months and it had just snowed the night before. That morning before he left for work he told me he loved me and mentioned that he didn't want anything to happen to me and he knew he wanted me to be in his life always, indefinitely.
Wearing my grandmother, Mamaw's engagement ring as my something borrowed. It’s always been my favorite piece of jewelry she had. I was also honored to wear the same wedding dress that my mom and my other grandmother, Grandmommie wore when they got both married. That was so very special to me!
Bryan and I have loosely known each other since childhood. We had not seen each other in over 10 years when we both arrived dateless to a friends wedding. We hit it off that night, and the next very weekend he whisked me away to Puerto Rico. It was a fairy tale long weekend!
We both knew during our trip to Puerto Rico together! Like I said, it was a fairytale weekend that ended with a kiss in the warm rain leaving us both knowing that this connection was something very real and long lasting!
The moment I started walking down the aisle was so special! The second I stepped out in front of 200 of our guests on my fathers arm, all I could see was Bryan and I was completely calm, relaxed and excited (instead of nervous) after that. It was all about marrying my best friend from that moment forward and that was all that mattered!
Love what you see?? Oh, there's more!!
Engagement Sessions. Bridal Sessions. The Wedding Day.
Brittany is so awesome! We knew she would be a great fit the first day we met her. She made us feel comfortable and really listened to what we wanted and didn't want for the wedding. Because our wedding was outside, we wanted someone who would be able to not only take pictures of us but also capture the surrounding environment. Brittany did just that! She is also great at giving direction which made it much easier for family and bridal party to get great pictures without taking too much time. We were truly able to relax knowing that we chose the best photographer for our big day!
We met with several photographers before we found Brittany. She was the only photographer to give us a tentative timeline for our wedding day. Having that information was so beneficial for the entire planning process. Brittany was very helpful answering all our questions and givings us recommendations based on her experiences in the industry. She was very easy to talk to and always prompt to respond. She is professional, thoughtful and always came prepared. We are so blessed for the memories she has given us!
I was so impressed the first time I met Brittany! I tell people what sold me is the fact that I was having an outdoor wedding, and she had gone as far to check the sunset time and know exactly what the lighting would be like. She was so organized throughout the entire process. On the day of our wedding, Brittany was so relaxed, which helped keep me calm, and she was extremely receptive to any picture ideas we wanted to try. Her work is phenomenal!
We could not be happier to have had Brittany photograph our wedding. We planned our wedding from overseas and Brittany was very accommodating with working across time differences. She was extremely organised from the outset – her wedding day timeline included details we had not even thought of and helped immensely with our planning. Obviously, on the day, not everything went according to plan or time, but Brittany was able to go with the flow and get all the important shots and more. She gave us plenty of direction (which we really needed) to set up some great pictures, but also got plenty of candid moments. Finally and most importantly, the pictures … the light, the colors, movement, moods and moments were so perfectly captured! Highly recommend!
